The variety is a commercial clone of f. rubra, selected for its compact dimensions. The plant is a vigorously growing, heavily branched shrub or small tree up to 3 meters in height and about 2 meters in width with dark green glossy foliage.
Flowering occurs in autumn. The fruits are edible, resemble strawberries in shape, and change color from green to yellow and red during the ripening process. The variety fruits abundantly even at a young age.
The plant is resistant to temperatures down to -15°C and grows well in drained soils, including calcareous ones. It is used in landscaping as a specimen plant due to the decorative properties of the bark and simultaneous flowering and fruiting.
