The plant has an upright, bushy growth type from short to medium size. The foliage is of medium density, blue-green hue, with a tapered base and an acuminate apex.
The inflorescences are double flower heads of large diameter. The ray florets are purple, which lightens on older specimens. The yellow-orange disc florets are complemented by purple petaloid structures.
