The variety was obtained as a result of open pollination in 2003. The plant is distinguished by a compact habit, which makes it suitable for use as a pot or container crop.

The inflorescences are simple capitula with pink ray florets. Compared to a number of reference varieties, Argypink has a smaller inflorescence diameter and a narrower disk. The leaves of the plant are characterized by a narrow shape of the lateral lobes.

In official documentation, the variety may appear under the trade name Shere Monroe Pink. Some sources note the existence of cross-references to different breeding numbers, which requires attention during identification.
