The Arbo variety was obtained through the selection of natural populations of Arnica montana. The plants possess uniformity and high viability under cultivation. Plant height varies from 20 to 60 cm. Flowering begins from the second year of life; the variety prefers cool, sunny areas with acidic, slightly calcareous soils.

The variety is distinguished by high productivity: up to 15.9 flower stalks and up to 56.9 inflorescences per plant, which exceeds the indicators of wild-growing forms. The flowers contain a high level of sesquiterpene lactones, which allows the raw material to be used in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of tinctures and ointments.
