The plant forms a rosette of leaves that twist clockwise, creating a visual effect resembling the movement of air in a hurricane. The height and width of the plant are usually from 30 to 90 cm depending on age and growing conditions.
The variety is a decorative houseplant suitable for growing in terrariums or florariums. It prefers diffused light, partial shade, and moderately moist, well-drained soil. It is not winter-hardy and requires protection from direct sunlight.
