The compact bush of the Mojito astilbe reaches a height of 45–65 cm. Its inflorescences are in the form of feathery panicles of a creamy-white color with characteristic greenish tips. The stems of the plant often have a dark red hue, and the foliage changes its color from dark green to bronze during the growing season.

Flowering of the variety occurs in the period from June to August depending on the region. The plant possesses good resistance to diseases and high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 4. The variety is demanding of soil moisture and prefers locations protected from direct sunlight; it is used in mixed borders and container plantings.
