Variety description

The variety was obtained through individual selection and crossing of materials from botanical gardens and wild populations. The plant is used as a forage crop in pure stands or as part of grass mixtures, as well as for stabilizing slopes and embankments against erosion and as a honey plant.
The plant possesses high resistance to diseases, pests, frost, and drought; it tolerates intensive grazing well and competes with weeds. It produces a large amount of green mass with a high protein content and low crude fiber content, and does not accumulate toxic alkaloids.
In spring, the variety regrows two weeks later than alfalfa, but continues vegetation in autumn two weeks longer. Leaves at the base of the bush remain green during the winter period.
