The Anita variety was obtained as a result of breeding work crossing the Diane and Greta varieties. Its key feature is high resistance to the stem nematode Ditylenchus dipsaci, which was the primary goal of creating the variety.

The variety belongs to the high-yielding category. Due to the fact that its description dates back to the 1970s, modern detailed agronomic characteristics are virtually absent in open registries.
