The variety Araceli is not a commercial agricultural crop and is not intended for commodity production. It is used in scientific experiments as a standard of susceptibility to fungal infections, such as oat crown rust (Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae).

This sample is widely used in cytogenetic studies and research on the mechanisms of oat resistance to pathogens. Due to the highly specialized purpose of the variety, it lacks standard agronomic characteristics, such as plant height, maturity group, or yield indicators.
