The Breton variety is the result of crossing the Szakal and Expander varieties. The plants are of medium height and are characterized by early panicle emergence and maturity dates.
The grain of the variety is yellow, large, and uniform, distinguished by low hull content and high protein content. The variety possesses resistance to crown rust and stem rust, as well as to powdery mildew.
The recommended seeding rate is 400–450 viable seeds per 1 m², which corresponds to 150–170 kg/ha. The variety is suitable for use in cereal mixtures.
