The variety belongs to the early-ripening group; its growing season averages 79–83 days. It is adapted to the climatic conditions of the Polissya region of Ukraine, where it often serves as a control in field scientific trials.
The grain of the variety is used as concentrated feed for livestock. The variety has also been used in breeding work as one of the parental forms for the development of new oat varieties.
