The Darunok oat variety is included in the register of varieties of Ukraine and appears in comparative scientific studies alongside other cereal varieties. In experimental work, its reaction to water stress is noted in comparison with more drought-tolerant genotypes.

General characteristics of the variety in scientific literature are associated with requirements for plasticity, resistance to lodging, grain shedding, and diseases, however, detailed descriptors and scoring indicators of resistance are absent in open publications.
