The variety was created by specialists at the Verkhnyachka Experimental Breeding Station of the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet of the NAAS of Ukraine through the hybridization of samples of various ecological and geographical origins.
The plant possesses complex resistance to diseases, including loose smut. The variety was selected as a promising result of breeding, combining high yield with disease resistance.
