The Diadem variety belongs to the foreign genetic resources actively used in breeding research in Europe in the second half of the 20th century. In agrotechnical trials, the variety showed high resistance to the effects of aluminum in highly acidic soil conditions.
The grain of this variety is recognized as suitable for the germination process in order to increase the concentration of antioxidant compounds, in particular avenanthramides. Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant, including height and maturity dates, are not presented in the scientific literature.
