The variety is late-maturing and high-yielding. The plant is characterized by a tall straw, which has a tendency to lodge. The grain of the variety is large and white in color.
The variety shows susceptibility to crown rust, smut, and certain races of stem rust. Due to its characteristics, the variety was used as a grain crop, and was also used in genetic research as a parent form.
