The variety was created by crossing the Flämingsvita variety and a breeding line from New Zealand. It belongs to hulled oat types and is characterized by its suitability for flour milling due to good grain filling, moderate bulk density, and low impurity content.

In the scientific community, the variety is actively used as genetic material. Studies confirm its possession of the Pm13 powdery mildew resistance gene, as well as resistance to crown rust. Due to its complex of agronomic characteristics, the variety frequently appears in studies as a standard European reference.
