The variety belongs to winter oat types, has short plants, and a heading period ranging from mid-late to mid-early. The grain has a shiny black husk, is distinguished by a fairly low protein content and low test weight values, while maintaining a high thousand kernel weight.
The plant is sensitive to lodging, as well as to infection with powdery mildew, crown rust, and Septoria, while possessing frost resistance down to -15°C. The variety is traditionally used for fodder purposes, primarily in the diet of horses, as well as in plant mixtures as a cover crop.
