The variety is characterized by medium plant height and resistance to lodging. Resistance to diseases is assessed as quite good.

The grain has a high test weight and protein content, making it suitable for the production of oat flakes. The variety is used both for grain production and for feed needs, and is also an object of research regarding beta-glucan content.

In in vitro scientific experiments, the Genziana variety was studied for safety for patients with celiac disease, showing no negative immunological reaction.
