The Liva variety was developed in Latvia and is maintained by Agroresursu un ekonomikas institūts (AREI). In breeding and agronomic practice, the variety is used for the comparative analysis of oat genotypes.
As part of research involving this variety, evaluations of grain biochemical composition are conducted, including indicators of protein, fat content, and β-glucan concentration depending on hydrothermal growing conditions.
