The variety is a traditional Avena sativa, which in modern publications is considered a specimen with a low content of immunoreactive avenin peptides. The variety was used in genetic studies, in particular when studying the mechanisms of inheritance of hullessness and the structural features of multiflorous spikelets during hybridization with Avena nuda.
In the agronomic context of the 1970s, the variety was included in the list of spring oats for which the use of the herbicide chlorfenprop-methyl was permitted. The variety is also regularly used in scientific papers as a control sample when studying beta-glucan content.
