The variety was developed at the breeding center in Strzelce, which is part of the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute (IHAR). During the period of its active use, it was characterized by yields higher than the average indicators of that time.

Due to its genetic qualities, the variety was used in breeding programs, including experiments on crossing with Avena byzantina. Hybrids based on it demonstrated changes in vegetative mass characteristics and increased protein content in the grain compared to the maternal forms.
