The Valene variety was considered a potential successor to the Gigant variety and was included in the HGCA Recommended List candidate list for 2011–2012. Its yield was estimated to exceed the figures of the control variety Gigant by 10%.

Detailed morphological characteristics of the variety, such as plant height, maturity group, and grain quality indicators, are absent from open sources. At present, the variety is not widely distributed or actively cultivated on a commercial scale.
