Veles oat is a medium-tall plant with a stem length of about 97 cm. In the tillering stage, the plant has a semi-erect growth habit; the stem is of medium thickness, hollow and strong. Leaves are green, without pubescence, with a weak waxy bloom. The panicle is light yellow, semi-erect type, with semi-unilateral branching.
The grain has a semi-elongated shape, yellow color, and weak pubescence. The thousand kernel weight is 35.3 g, test weight is 501 g/l, and hull content is 24.5%. The fat content in the grain is 2.7%.
The variety has low susceptibility to crown rust and red-brown leaf spot. Resistance to lodging is rated at 3.8 points.
