The oat variety Vermio is included in European catalogues of agricultural plants. Breeding work and research on the adaptation of this variety are conducted with the participation of the Institute of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources, which is part of the structure of the Greek agricultural organization HAO-Demeter.
During research, the variety demonstrated stable yield under low-input farming conditions in the areas of Giannitsa, Trikala, and Kalambaka. The variety is being considered within the framework of cereal breeding programs for cultivation with a low level of agrochemical use.
