The oat variety Vintero was included in the lists of varieties admitted for use in the European Community in 1984. In 1986, the government of the FRG initiated a procedure to prohibit its commercialization within the country.
In scientific publications investigating the genetic resistance of cereals, the variety is classified as moderately susceptible to certain fungal pathogens. Data on plant height, maturity dates, and yield indicators are not recorded.
