The oat variety «Закат» is a spring crop. It is used in agronomic research to study the influence of seeding rates and fertilizer application levels on yield and grain quality indicators.

The variety demonstrates relative resistance to infection by certain types of fungal pathogens. In comparative trials, a lower degree of grain infection by micromycetes is noted compared to other samples.
