The plants are perennial tuberous forms grown as annuals. The height of the bush is usually 30–45 cm. The flowers are large, camellia-shaped, and possess a high degree of doubling.

These plants are used for landscaping flower beds and urban areas, as well as a container crop for terraces and balconies. They are characterized by abundant flowering until frost and require a drainage system to prevent rotting due to waterlogging.
