The variety belongs to the Begonia × hiemalis group. In variety trial documents, it is described as a plant with dark green leaves.
The variety was used in breeding as source material for obtaining other varieties; in particular, the Ada variety was developed from it via natural mutation. The variety was also used for experimental purposes in studies of root formation.
