The plant forms a neat, dense rounded bush about 45 cm in height and diameter. The leaves are broad, wrinkled, with shallow palmate-lobed edges. The leaf surface has a silver-white pattern on a dark green background with distinct veins; the underside of the leaf is colored in a reddish hue.
The flowers are small, cherry-pink in color, and collected in inflorescences. Flowering usually occurs from winter to early spring. The variety is a hybrid of Begonia hemsleyana and an unnamed begonia U489.
The plant prefers shaded conditions and tolerates low temperatures down to 4.5° C well. The variety possesses high growth energy and is used as a decorative indoor plant.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
