The variety belongs to the Elatior begonia group and is the result of breeding work via radiation mutagenesis conducted in 1974. The plant is included in registers of mutant varieties of ornamental crops.
The primary morphological trait of the variety is a compact habit, caused by the dwarfism of the plant. Detailed parameters of height and disease resistance are not recorded in specialized publications.
