This variety is an intermediate type between fodder beet and sugar beet. It was created as part of a Lithuanian breeding program to obtain produce with a higher dry matter concentration compared to traditional fodder forms.
The variety is multigerm. It is included in the national list of plant varieties of Lithuania and is recognized as part of the country's national genetic resources.
