The sugar beet variety «Bico» was previously included in the national lists of agricultural plant varieties of Germany. As of May 2024, the variety is recorded as removed from official EU catalogs.
In agronomic trials, the variety was evaluated for root and sugar yield levels, as well as chemical quality indicators, including potassium, sodium, and amino nitrogen content. The variety is characterized as resistant to rhizomania and was evaluated for susceptibility to Cercospora leaf spot, powdery mildew, and Ramularia leaf spot.
