The Carola variety is classified as sugar beet and in documentation from past years was characterized as a multigerm variety (type 'M'). During agronomic studies, the variety was evaluated based on indicators of root crop weight, total yield, and sugar content level.
At the present time, the variety is not included in the current commercial portfolio and has been removed from national registers due to the expiration of breeder's rights protection.
