The sugar beet variety Fenyx appeared in agronomic studies between 1992 and 1994. The resistance of this crop to fungal diseases, in particular to rust, was studied, and the effect of fungicides on yield and product quality was evaluated.

In scientific publications of that period, the variety is mentioned alongside other European sugar beet cultivars, however, a detailed description of its morphological or biological traits is not provided.
