The sugar beet variety «Fiona» was mentioned in agronomic publications and variety recommended lists of the UK until 1997. In modern production catalogs, this variety is not current.

During field trials, including those conducted in Turkey, root yield for this variety was recorded at 54.06 t/ha. The variety is characterized as susceptible to Beet necrotic yellow vein virus (rhizomania). Detailed morphological descriptions are not available in open sources.
