Fortnox is a diploid F1 hybrid. The plant is characterized by an intensive anthocyanin coloration of the hypocotyl in seedlings, amounting to 80–100%. The leaves have an intermediate position and medium length; the leaf blade is green with moderately expressed gloss and rugosity.
The variety belongs to the nematode-resistant segment and is intended for cultivation for industrial purposes. It possesses resistance to rhizomania and beet cyst nematode; additionally, during field trials, indicators for Cercospora leaf spot infection, yield, and sugar content were recorded.
