The variety belongs to early-maturing sugar beet cultivars developed by German breeders in the early 1980s. Its primary characteristic is the presence of partial resistance to rhizomania.

In modern agriculture, this variety is not an active commercial hybrid. A table beet was registered under the same name at a later date, which necessitates distinguishing between these crops during identification.
