Lipizzan is a sugar beet hybrid intended for increasing sugar yield. The plant is characterized by an extremely low tendency to bolt when sown early.
During variety trials, the hybrid demonstrated yield and dry matter content indices. As of 2017, the variety was removed from the list of control varieties in British trials.
