The variety was developed to reduce the population of beet cyst nematode (Heterodera schachtii) in the soil. It is one of the first breeding solutions aimed at ensuring a viable harvest under conditions of heavy nematode infestation.

On pest-free plots, the productivity of the variety was lower than that of susceptible counterparts of that period. Detailed morphological characteristics, such as maturity group or plant height, are not available in publicly accessible publications.
