The variety belongs to monogerm forms of sugar beet. In scientific literature, it is used as a model organism and indicator variety for conducting molecular biological, physiological, and agrochemical experiments, in particular for studying plant responses to stress factors such as salinity or nutrient deficiency.
In field trials, the variety demonstrates susceptibility to rhizomania. Due to this characteristic, it has been used repeatedly as a standard for evaluating the resistance of other varieties to this disease.
