Smart Camilla KWS is a sugar beet hybrid intended for industrial sugar production. The variety belongs to the normal type (N) and was developed specifically for use in the CONVISO SMART protection system, which allows the use of ALS-tolerant herbicides for weed control.
The plant possesses tolerance to nematodes and Aphanomyces, and also exhibits resistance to powdery mildew and a response to Cercospora leaf spot. Morphologically, the variety is characterized by a low leaf position type. The hybrid combines a medium sugar content and high yield potential with good indicators of white sugar yield per hectare.
