The sugar beet hybrid Thor is a development by the company Strube and is focused on industrial cultivation for sugar production. It is characterized as tolerant to infestation by the sugar beet nematode Heterodera schachtii.
The variety underwent testing within the framework of BBRO programs and was included in the national variety lists of several European countries. When cultivated, the hybrid is aimed at achieving a balance between yield indicators and sugar output.
