The sugar beet variety Wiahilla was bred in the 1990s with the participation of the Polish company Kutnowska Hodowla Buraka Cukrowego and the Swedish breeding company Hilleshög. The crop belongs to technical varieties intended for industrial sugar production.
At present, the variety is considered obsolete. Quantitative agronomic indicators, such as plant height, yield, or detailed disease resistance characteristics, are absent in open sources, despite the mention of the variety in archival agricultural registers of that period.
