Plants of this variety have a tough taproot, with lateral roots developing at a depth of about 30 mm below the soil surface. The variety has the ability to form a "seed bank" in the soil due to a pronounced state of seed dormancy.
In scientific literature, the variety was used as an object for studying the development of phoma stem canker (Leptosphaeria maculans) on leaf petioles, and is also mentioned in historical data on resistance to phoma stem canker and downy mildew.
