The Andol variety belongs to the winter oilseed rape crop. It is widely mentioned in scientific literature as a subject for studying genetic diversity and plant resistance to diseases, in particular phoma stem canker, due to the presence of resistance genes, for example, Rlm2.

Currently, the variety is considered obsolete and is used primarily for breeding purposes for screening resistance genes. Specific agronomic characteristics, such as plant height or yield, are not provided in current reference books.
