The winter rapeseed variety Cobra belongs to the breeding programs of the company NPZ. In scientific literature, it often appears as an object for studying resistance to the pathogen Verticillium longisporum, where its characteristics varied from moderate resistance to susceptibility.
There are regional modifications and derivative forms, such as the hybrid Cobra Nova, which is characterized as late-maturing with a vegetation period of 87–100 days and plant height up to 100 cm. The name Cobra is also found in genetic studies, where it denotes specific genes or proteins affecting the development of the Brassica napus cell wall.
