The Codimil variety is included in official agricultural plant registers; however, in EU documentation, it is classified as Brassica napus L. var. napobrassica, that is, rutabaga. Despite its biological relationship to rapeseed, the crop is a root vegetable, not an oilseed crop.
In some field publications and reports on oilseed crops, the name appears in the same context as winter oilseed rape hybrids. Detailed agronomic characteristics of the variety are absent in open sources, with the exception of mentions in scientific analyses of glucosinolate content.
