The variety belongs to the "00" type (erucic acid-free). The plant possesses rapid initial development and good resistance to lodging. It is characterized by a low tendency to flower, especially when sown in the second half of August, which prevents the spread of unwanted seedlings in subsequent crops.

Helga rapeseed demonstrates the ability to tolerate late sowing dates and drought conditions. When grown for green forage, the recommended seeding rate is 8–12 kg/ha; for green manure purposes, it is 15–20 kg/ha. Sowing is carried out in the period from mid-August to the end of September.
