The Roxet variety is a winter hybrid that has gained prominence in scientific literature as a carrier of the Rlm7 gene, which provides resistance to phoma stem canker (Leptosphaeria maculans). Due to these genetic characteristics, the variety has been used as a donor in breeding new selection lines.
The plant has a seed oil content in the range of 40–50%. The variety underwent field trials in the UK and Germany, and was also tested for susceptibility to Verticillium longisporum. In contemporary research, Roxet more often appears as a control sample for evaluating the effectiveness of disease resistance.
