SY Ilona is a line variety of winter rapeseed characterized as medium-late in flowering and maturity. The plants have medium height, which facilitates the harvesting process.
The variety demonstrates high resistance to lodging and stem base diseases, as well as good resistance to Phoma. The oil content in the seeds is about 49%, and the variety has a very high thousand kernel weight, reaching 5.3 g.
The variety is plastic and suitable for cultivation on various soil types, including less fertile plots. It belongs to the 00 type, which means the absence of erucic acid and a low glucosinolate content. Early or optimal sowing dates are recommended with a seeding rate of 45–60 seeds per square meter.
